Baby Sweater

After a very long time I have finished a project  which is ready to be shared with you guys. This one I had to complete soon coz  it's a baby sweater which I made for my darling niece Shania. 

It is a quick quick project I was eager to finish it off and see how our princess looked after wearing it...

To my disappointment it turned out to be a little big for her. I did some forward thinking in making the sweater big in size thinking she would grow into it and the utility of the sweater would be for a longer time.

                           And here is the  baby enjoying her new sweater....

She loves bright colors all the while I was working on her sweater she just kept staring ....

The Shell Toran Pattern

Hello everyone, as promised I have finally written the pattern for the Shell Toran. This is the first time that I am writing  a pattern so please do let me know if there are any errors. I have even tried to draw a pattern for reference purpose. 

SHELL TORAN PATTERN

CH = Chain 

DC = Double Crochet 

Chain 20.

Row 1 – 1 dc in each dc. Turn piece ( total 20 dc )

Row 2 – 1 dc in each of the next 7 dc , ch 2, skip 1 dc, 2 dc in next 2 dc , ch 2, skip 2 dc , 2 dc in next 2 dc, ch 2 , skip next 2 dc, 1 dc in next 1 dc, ch2, skip 1 dc, 2 dc in next 2 dc. Turn piece

Row 3 – ch 3, 4 dc in next dc , ch 2, skip 1 dc , 4 dc in middle of next 2 ch, ch 2, skip 2 dc , 4 dc in middle of next 2 ch , ch 2, skip 2 dc, 4 dc in middle of next 2 ch, ch 2, skip 2 dc , 1 dc in next 5 dc. Turn piece

Row 4- 2 dc in 1^st dc , 1 dc in next 3 dc , 2 dc in next dc, ( keep increasing 1 dc evenly at both ends in every row ) ch 2, skip 2 ch , 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc , ch 2, 1 dc in the 1^st dc of the cluster, ch 2 , 4 dc in middle of 2 ch, ch 2, 1 dc in the 4^th dc of the next cluster of 4dc , ch 2, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc. Turn piece

Row 5 – ch 3, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip ch 2 , 1 dc in next dc , ch 2, skip 2 ch, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip ch 2 , 1 dc in next dc , ch 2, skip 2 ch, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip 2 ch, ( keep increasing 1 dc evenly at both ends in every row ) 2 dc in next dc , 1 dc in next 5 dc , 2 dc in next dc. Repeat from * to * more 5 times. 2 dc in next dc , 1 dc in next 3 dc , 2 dc in next dc, ( keep increasing 1 dc evenly at both ends in every row ) ch 2, skip 2 ch, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip ch 2 , 1 dc in next dc , ch 2, skip 2 ch, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip ch 2 , 1 dc in next dc , ch 2, skip 2 ch, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc. Turn piece.

Row 19 – Ch 3, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip ch 2 , 1 dc in next dc , ch 2, skip 2 ch, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip ch 2 , 1 dc in next dc , ch 2, skip 2 ch, 4 dc in middle of the next cluster of 4 dc, ch 2, skip 2 ch, ( keep increasing 1 dc evenly at both ends in every row ) 2 dc in next dc , 1 dc in next 5 dc , 2 dc in next dc, *ch 2, 1 dc + ch 2+ 1 dc in between the next shell * . Repeat from * to * till the end. Turn Piece

Row 20 – Ch 3, 7 dc in middle of ch 2 (8 dc together = 1 shell ) , * 8 dc in next middle ch 2 *

Row 31 – Start the pattern again from Row 17. This way you can keep working till the desired length ).
