Star Afghan

Monsoon is in full swing here in Mumbai , its pouring heavily and the climate is amazing... Its perfect time to snuggle inside the warmth of your blanket with some crochet and coffee...Last weekend I , along with some of my friends went to Lonavala , its a hill station approx 96 km from Mumbai... It is every year that I visit this place during monsoon.. I can never get enough of its lush greenery and waterfalls... I felt so refreshed It was such a relief a much needed break …

There has been a lot of crocheting these days and I am so happy about it. I completed two of my unfinished projects one of which is this little star afghan which of course is a gift for Shania. I had started this one ages ago when my sis-in-law was expecting. It is really embarrassing that it took such a lot of time....but Shania got this just in time as the climate here has become cooler now...

You can find the pattern for this over here  and here are some pictures of my darling baby with the afghan..

Lots of love

Baby Sweater

After a very long time I have finished a project  which is ready to be shared with you guys. This one I had to complete soon coz  it's a baby sweater which I made for my darling niece Shania.

It is a quick quick project I was eager to finish it off and see how our princess looked after wearing it...

To my disappointment it turned out to be a little big for her. I did some forward thinking in making the sweater big in size thinking she would grow into it and the utility of the sweater would be for a longer time.

And here is the  baby enjoying her new sweater....

She loves bright colors all the while I was working on her sweater she just kept staring ....

Busy me.....

I had not been feeling like crocheting due to my busy schedule, the only thing I am feeling like is sleeping zzzzzzzz for hours and hours together..... however I am pushing myself hard to be creative...I already have a baby blanket , a toran and a spiral scarf which needs to be completed but rather than working on them I have started a new project a shawl which I hope I will work on and finish soon unlike my other projects.... I am really behaving insane these days....I just hope to get back to normal and start enjoying crocheting.....Here is a glimpse of the shawl I am currently working on...

Simply Shrug

The climate in Mumbai is giving everyone a mixed feeling of winter and summer....one day hot the other day cold.... but one thing is for sure that summer has arrived and I have in mind a lot of summer projects which I hopefully will get time to work on....I really get a very little time after office for crochet and it makes me sad ….weekends are also packed....

Lately , I have been working on this shrug it took a lot of efforts to remove time for it....but finally , finally its done... and I am so glad , for whom it was made just loved it....It is such a wonderful feeling when someone appreciates your work... you can find the pattern for this shrug over here

I am currently working on a baby blanket....my Sister-in-law is expecting and the baby is due on 04th April... Just counting the days....

What Sush has been working on

Hello Friends !!!! I had not expected myself to be back so soon but I had to share what my best friend Sushma has been working on.

Lets get started with the Toran isn't it lovely the bright pink colour and the shell stitch. The best part is that she has even added some pearly beads and pom poms to it which enhances its look. The next thing on my to-do list is to learn this from her and make one for my home...

Second comes the Pointy Baby Booties, awww I just loved the colour combination. The baby is going to enjoy this...

With the Pointy Baby Booties there is even a dress for the baby. The dress is also worked with the shell stitch and those tiny hearts on it are just so cute...
